Two militants killed in ongoing gunfight in Poonch

Two militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Dugran area of Poonch district, officials said.

Official sources said that two unidentified militants have been killed in anongoing gunfight so far.

Earlier today, a joint of government forces including  army’s RR, Police, and CRPF  had launched a joint a cordon-and-search-operation in the area after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As the joint team of government forces cordoned off the area, the militants trapped in the area opened fire on security forces, which according to the official was retaliated back, thus triggering off an gunfight.
