Large number of people from Wailoo, Kralpora, Bahrampora, Chukar, Shouch Palpora and Baiwa said that they are facing shortage of power supply from past few days, which indicates that we will face acute shortage of electricity this winter.
The unscheduled power cuts are not only affected the routine life of the people but also the local business.
“I am running a business, which is totally dependent on electricity, but without proper electricity how can it be run smoothly? Besides unscheduled power cuts are having serious toll on the students’ community,” said one Mohammad Zeeshan.

Residents said that for the past few days, the power supply is snapped for five to six hours during a day. The erratic power supply has led to outrage in these affected areas, with consumers asking authorities to issue curtailment schedule.
They said the department is not taking effective steps to improve the electric supply as a result of which there is outrage among the people towards the department.
The people have demanded the L G administration and senior officials of the concerned department to take serious note of these power cuts and take immediate steps to improve the power supply in wake off approaching winter.
