ix civilians were injured in a grenade explosion in Singhpora – Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday morning.
A senior police official said that the incident took place today morning in the main market of Singhpora area of Pattan belt, resulting in injuries to six civilians.
All the injured were shifted to Trauma Hospital Pattan, where they were referred to SMHS Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The injured civilians have been identified as Gulzar Ahmad, Gh Mohammad Parray, Zubair Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, all residents of Singhpora, Farman Ali of Uttar Pradesh, and Tabasum Akhter, a resident of Handwara.
Soon after the attack, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched search operation but no one was arrested so far.
