Covid-19 is here to stay with us for some time. In other words we are not going to get rid of of Covid-19 in another month or so, because vaccine distribution poses another challenge in supplying from one place to another. Even the government had said that they have arranged choppers to supply the vaccines to far off areas, let’s wait few more days to see whether it will reach the areas like Gurez, Tangdhar, Karnah and other areas of the valley.
We heard that the government is going to vaccinate only the health workers in first phase, which includes the frontline workers like sanitation workers, police personnel, and paramilitary personnel, which will take at least three weeks, and than comes the people who are above 50 years.
A number of countries, most of them wealthy have pre-ordered nearly four billion vaccine doses and have options for a further 5 billion, at the current prices. However, when we will receive bulk vaccines it’s a mark of question.

The economy is on a free fall and the mayhem on stock markets is continuing. The Food & Beverage industry is staring down the barrel. Travel is hitting a sure and certain cul de sac. For Small Medium Businesses(SMB) nothing could have been more adverse than Covid-19. The services industries in down. The supply chain and logistics industry is on a grinding halt. Million of people are expected to formally file unemployment status across the world. We are talking of the ‘numero uno’ economy of the world.
Talking of the third world countries, it would be a real challenge for them to come out of this situation. Asian markets will have to ready for the economic challenges posed by the Covid-19. While India and Pakistan has handled Covid-19 wonderfully well by putting the entire population into lock-down, a feat never seen or heard of before.
The only hope for all challenges is now Covid vaccine, and for this we should profoundly thank to scientists whose hard work, vision and personal sacrifice have made it possible.
Thank you to the scientists who started working on the vaccine, also thank you to the thousands of clinical trial volunteers who risked their health to take an experimental vaccine for the benefit of others.
