n World Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Day Army camp, Gujjarpatti under the aegis of Headquarter 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles (RR) organized a Job Fair for Youth of Lolab and Felicitation of NGO’s on the occasion in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday.
Several NGOs like Himayat, Food Craft Institute Jammu, and REACHA were felicitated for their “outstanding contribution towards community development and eradication of Social Stigma” by Col Rajkumar Mahajan, Commanding officer, 28 RR Battalion.
A token of appreciation for their contribution in the valley was presented in the attendance of various Civilian dignitaries like SDM Lolab, Dist Social Welfare Officer Kupwara, Team Himayat state head, DySP Lolab, and other dignitaries.
The event comprised of awareness talk, Schedule of free courses offered for youth including registration cum counseling based on their skill and academic qualification was witnessed by around 250 unemployed youth of Lolab aspiring to get jobs.
aspirants were ensured 100% placement on successful completion of the basic training course thereby providing employment opportunities to the remote and far-off area of Lolab.
The local youths and civil administration appreciated the efforts of the NGOs and the Indian army for their selfless service and contributions to the people of Kashmir. They aspired that similar opportunities should be made available in the future.
